The start of the end, JAPAN LP was released by Virtua94 Records on September 6th, 2019. A tape release was available at the Brooklyn Tape Swap one week before release, to concur with the first ever 100% ELECTRONICON.

The album was influenced by SONICON's return to Japan, where he was free to sightsee and do whatever he wanted to do within the country. At least half of the album was created while in the country. He began to experiment with mixed compositions and lo-fi hip hop genres.
